An undisclosed source at the Pentagon revealed that an Allied Military Force conducting training exercises in the Pacific discovered genetically mutated animals at an undisclosed island in the South Pacific. In an unprovoked attack, the creatures swarmed the allied force creating multiple casualties. It was related that several creatures were captured, but were later destroyed as they proved to be too violent for study by scientific members of the expedition, even while under sedation. Over forty years ago, a similar occurrence made brief headlines when scientist Dr. Moreau conducted experiments on a south sea island crossing human genes with animal genes. At that time the military intervened and reportedly sterilized the island of all life. PETEA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Exotic Animals) is severely protesting the military's actions in eradicating a potentially new species. They claim that all animals are peaceful creatures with feelings, and would not have attacked unless provoked. "We are considering filing a class action lawsuit in United States Federal Court on behalf of our huminal (human & animal) brethren. |
Fifty years ago, staff writer Joel Garreau interviewed Dr. Albert Tennyson on the direction that genetics would play in the development of the human race, and how advanced technology would "improve" the species. This week staff writer Joel Garreau Jr., and a photographer are going to look at the changes that have taken place over the last fifty years. Mr. Garreau says that fifty years ago, the human race had no clue as to what the exact benefits or pitfalls would be from this new technology. He further says that as predicted by his father, three distinct factions have developed. Those that have embraced the technology and have truly enhanced their lives, those that have outright rejected the technology and cling to the old days, and those that are undecided as to how the technology would truly best be used to benefit the world. Mr. Garreau hopes to obtain interviews and photographs with each of the leaders of the three primary factions. He believes that the most difficult person to gain access to will be Mr. Veritee Rogee. "Mr. Rogee is a very reclusive individual, and not prone to giving interviews, unlike Dr. Tennyson who is happy to promote genetic engineering and mechanical enhancements for every day life" says Mr. Garreau, "I would think that all of these individuals would be more than happy to have their side of history told". article on page 2 of the magazine. |

Federal investigators have deepened their probe into alleged mis-conduct by Cruck Enterprises. It was reported earlier that a Mr. Smith, (no first name known) the reputed Director of Special Operations for the company, and his assistant Mr. Jones (no first name known) are being indicted by a Federal Grand Jury. The federal government is looking into the involvement of Cruck Enterprises in the West Coast Catastrophe of 2002. This is when a giant tidal wave destroyed the western coast of the United States. Cruck Enterprises ended up holding large amounts of land deeds in the then neighboring states of Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico. These land holdings literally went from being worthless to billions overnight as the new west coast of the United States was formed. Information that has recently been uncovered indicates that Cruck Enterprises was more deeply involved with the criminal organization known as "The Weathermen" than previously known. It was this organizations intention to gain control of a weather control device and thence to expand their criminal activities through out the world. It was reported fifty years ago, that Mr. Smith and Mr. Jones were working undercover for a joint police operation, and actually assisted Law Enforcement Agencies in recovering the weather control device from the Weathermen. Attorneys for Mr. Smith and Mr. Jones say that the two are enjoying their retirement, and have no intention of returning to the United States to face prosecution. There exists no extradition treaties with the private island / country that Mr. Smith and Mr. Jones purchased shortly after the West Coast Catastrophe of 2002. It is estimated that Mr. Smith and Mr. Jones are worth in excess of 100 trillion dollars (US)., and they maintain property holdings in excess of 65 million acres. |

Through genetic engineering and advanced technology, scientists are giving mankind the keys to open a brave new world of superhuman powers. Research is under way to "improve" the human species: Soon we will be able to 'reseed the body with our cells that are more potent and younger,' and thus extend the human life span to 130 years - or beyond. Within just a couple of decades, science may offer fat people an implant that will give them a thin person's metabolism, parents a pill to increase their kids' SAT scores by 200 points, and armies a means to eliminate soldiers' need to sleep. By integrating intelligent technology into our very bodies and brains, science may populate the earth of 2050 with a new species of humans. Some mainly of flesh and blood, and some of them mainly not. The momentum toward this "post-human future" is now occurring at an exponential rate, and few experts think that the government or religious groups will be able to stop it. Only individuals will be able to opt out. One of the primary leaders in this new research is Dr. Albert Tennyson. Dr. Tennyson declined to be interviewed for this article, citing the lack of time available as he prepared to publish new works on the advance of genetics and the use of advanced technology to better the welfare of all humans. It was reported just before publication, that Dr. Tennyson was being considered for nomination of the Nobel Prize in engineering. |

We may be experiencing a bear job market, but experts insist there's no reason to head for career hibernation. "It's true that the U.S. economy was in recession last year and that the economic lull may extend into 2053," said William Mezger, chief economist at the Hillsboro Employment Commission. "But even in times of economic down turn or stagnation, there are always employment gaps to fill." According to Mezger, three factors are helping the American economy: Strong vehicle sales, a healthy residential real estate market and an increase in genetic and applied scientific prosthetics. He predicts that the Raliegh Durham area should fare a bit better in the final months of 2052, compared to areas such as Virginia, due to additional layoffs within the airline and telecommunication industries there. The construction and transportation sectors are experiencing some growth and we anticipate an increase in hiring in these areas," said Mezger. There are other industries that are even more recession-proof. One is health care. "If someone is sick, it doesn't matter if there's a recession or not" said Christine Chemera, chief economist and president of Chemera Economics and Analytics. "You go to the doctor anyway". While more Americans are staying put in their current jobs, those making career moves are attempting to inoculate themselves against "last-in/first-out" syndrome by enhancing their value on the job with genetics and biomedical enhancements. "Transitioning into a new position can be challenging, but that's the time new employees need to get up to speed and learn all they can about their job and the company. |
Clean up continues in the vicinity of Garfield, Rocky Mount and Burlington, following what has become known locally as "the Alien Invasion". Millions of dollars in federal assistance funds are still being channeled to this area, and the locals still don't know for what reason the military used their backyards for a "Military Exercise".  In National News, the Solanos and the Palazzi Families of Ohio have been indicted by a Federal Grand Jury under the racketeering statutes. These indictments came down following a weekend long shooting spree between the two families for the purpose of controlling all criminal activity in the Youngstown Ohio area. The Solano's have been firmly established in the Youngstown Ohio area since the 1900's, and according to the Federal Indictment, were involved in illegal whiskey production, gambling, and control of the local mining unions. And the cause of the disturbance is the recent arrival of the Palazzi family who is attempting to gain control of all criminal activities in the area. In an attempt to gain control of the area, an enhanced company of infantry with the Ohio National Guard was activated, and Marshal Law declared over the downtown area of Youngstown. To date, no arrests have been made in relation to the violence, and it is reported that Don Ogilsbie of the Solano Family, and Don McKinnon of the Palazzi Family have disappeared. It is rumored that one or the other may be at the bottom of the Youngstown River. |

A citizen watchdog group is loudly criticizing the government's proposal to "privatize" certain agencies. One such agency that is at the top of the list is the Civil Defense Administration. This agency has large amounts of excess equipment stored throughout the American west, particularly in the Nevada desert, where the dry air and lack of humidity aids in the preservation of material. The Citizen's Against Government Privatization are concerned due to the lack of public documents available for what the C.D.A. has control of. "There could be anything out there", cried Mr. Leghorne, "from World War II military armaments to nuclear weapons. We just don't know what they have in their inventory, nor does anyone else". An unidentified government source says that the Citizens concerns are unfounded. The government has excellent records of all military inventory, and special "Black Ops" programs. When asked what he meant about Black Ops programs, he replied. We know what the intent of the program was, what was gleaned from the program, and what material is present for all programs. There is no danger in the privatization of any of the government agencies proposed.  This photograph is reportedly of the Aurora spy plane, which somehow the government has "misplaced". No information is available to the general public regarding this "Black Ops" project. "This is just the sort of thing we are afraid is going to happen if the Government privatizes these agencies"... they can't keep track of what they got now, how is a private company going to do it. |
This was the day that the entire town of Push Nevada moved to its new location approximately 60 miles away. The move was required as the government took over the town to use as a nuclear waste storage site.  The government says that the new waste disposal site will be managed by the Civil Defense Administration, and that only low grade nuclear waste will be stored there. People for the Ethical Treatment of Exoctic Animals, (PETEA) and the Association Against Augmentation (AAA) have filed a petition in federal court to force Mark and Barbi (last names have been withheld to protect privacy) to have their genetic augmentation reversed. Says PETEA spokesperson, the cross geneticizing between human and animal (huminal) is an abomination and should be stopped.
